Lakme cleanup line: fresh fairness face scrub

Today I am going to be reviewing the face scrub from the Lakme's clean up line in fresh fairness..

There are other sub lines to the clean up line as well from which this is one of them!

Their tag line is: "Salon like* clean-up now everyday at home!" 

They say,

Vita beads and natural exfoliants are known to unclog pores to remove blackheads, dead cells and excess oil for deeply clean, fresh and fair skin!

Professional tip: Use the complete 3 step Lakme fresh fairness clean-up regularly. 

Step  1: wash 

Step  2: scrub

Step  3: mask

*refers to basic products used in salon cleanups. 

              Ingredients and usage 

Price: 225 INR

Quantity: 100 g

My take:

Consistency: like a scrub :p

Product: thick + beads 

 

Exfoliant beads (vita beads): not too harsh 

Smell: florals + nuts. Strange but right it's pleasant for me!

Does it live up to its claims?

Kinda!!.... It does not remove blackheads efficiently but as far the rest of their claims go it is a pretty decent product. 

However it just gives you a brighter and fair skin only for the day you use it. But it does not show an improvement in your skin generally. Basically it does not give u a long term benefit. Therefore I think it only cleans up the junk on ur face like other scrubs would! ( I can't argue for this as they didn't mention that this would give a Long term benefit to the skin )

Also I don't recommend using the professional tip*** that they mentioned everyday! As that would suck up the natural oils in your skin which would make the skin dry and eventually that natural healthy glow of your skin will be lost!

One surprising thing is that this scrub is moisturizing :-o

Lakme didn't claim that but it's great that this scrub ain't drying out. It provides a smooth moist to your face so that's a yay yay!!! :D

Pros:

-Expect fairness for a day (maybe during an important event this could be in handy)

- cleans and exfoliates pretty well

- moisturizes 

- not harsh at all

- pleasant smell

- according to me.. suitable for all skin types! (M the dry type by the way)

- affordable 

Cons:

- blackheads?? 

- effect not long term
